Approximately $25,000 worth of hay was destroyed in a fire early Wednesday morning in far southern Saline County.
Saline County Sheriff Glen Kochanowski said deputies were called to 1800 W. Coronado Heights about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday to assist McPherson County rural firefighters with the blaze.
In all, 126 bales of hay, valued at $25,200, were destroyed. Kochanowski said the cause of the fire is unknown.
