KAKE – November 4, 2013
Fire apparently broke out in the crawl space of a house in southwest Wichita early Tuesday. Firefighters were called to West 27th street near South Seneca around 2:05 a.m. At first no trouble was apparent, but then a check of the crawl space in the back showed fire present.
Crews quickly brought things under control. Two adults and two children escaped from the home safely. Emergency workers checked them for possible smoke inhalation, but no one needed to be taken to a hospital.
It’s not yet clear how the fire started.
