A rural Towanda home is expected to be a total loss following a fire Wednesday afternoon.
The fire was reported around 4:15 p.m. at 3866 Hunter Road, near the Kansas Turnpike. Crews from Augusta, Benton and El Dorado assisted Towanda Fire in battling the blaze which caused extensive damage.
Fire crews are still on scene. The cause of the fire has not been determined.
No one was hurt in the fire.
