The Winfield Fire Department will be holding their Tri-Annual Firefighter Reunion Saturday, Oct. 19.
All former members of the fire department and their families are invited and encouraged to attend.
Chili as well as ham and beans will be served with cornbread and dessert from noon to 1:30 p.m.
Anybody who would like to come down early may do so for some “Fire Station Coffee.”
There will be a slideshow of pictures from the past and present. The 1931 American LaFrance will also be at the station on display.
The current fire station was built in 1886. Since then, the station has undergone numerous renovations. The reunion provides an open door for veterans to come see some of the equipment currently in use and be able to share the “old school” ways of firefighting with current fire personnel.
