The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 318
continues.
SUMMARY...An isolated threat of severe hail around 1" and damaging
winds continues across Severe Thunderstorm Watch 318 over the next
couple of hours.
DISCUSSION...A number of severe storms moved across southeastern
Virginia this afternoon, and these storms have grown upscale and are
currently moving off the southeastern Virginia coast. These storms
have largely stabilized the environment across southeastern
Virginia. However, farther north new discrete storms continue to
develop ahead and along of a cold front in an environment that is
still supportive of storms producing marginally severe hail and
damaging winds over the next couple of hours.
