Areas affected...portions of central Texas and the Hill
Country...and into the Coastal Plain

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 353...354...

Valid 220108Z - 220315Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 353, 354
continues.

SUMMARY...Strong/severe storms and associated hail/wind threat
continues across WW 353 and 354.

DISCUSSION...Latest radar loop shows two clusters of strong/severe
storms moving into/across southeastern Texas. The first -- a
cluster moving southward toward the Houston metro area, remains well
organized, with locally damaging wind gusts in the 60 to 70 MPH
range possible.

Farther to the west/southwest, a somewhat-less-organized cluster is
moving east-southeastward through the Austin vicinity at this time.
Locally strong wind gusts remain possible about this area as well.

Finally, a band of storms has developed from the ongoing cluster,
northwestward along the Colorado River Valley -- within and to the
northwest of northwestern portions of WW 354, where severe-caliber
hail will be possible.

Severe risk across this region is expected to continue over the next
couple of hours, given a very favorably moist/unstable environment.
