The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 381 continues.
SUMMARY...The severe weather risk continues across northeast
portions of Tornado Watch 381, and consideration is being given to a
small Severe Thunderstorm Watch farther east across northeast Ohio.
DISCUSSION...A well-developed line of severe thunderstorms
associated with a pronounced bowing segment continues to move east
across north-central OH and western Lake Erie at 2320z, with reports
of measured severe gusts and wind damage over the past 2 hours.
Although this feature should largely move east/northeast into
southern Ontario over the next few hours, there is some concern that
the southern portion of the bowing segment may maintain sufficient
intensity as it continues east to warrant a small Severe
Thunderstorm Watch in the next hour. The primary threat would be
damaging winds. With time, diminishing effective shear and gradually
increasing CINH casts uncertainty on the eastward extent of the
severe threat, but trends will continue to be monitored.
