Areas affected...parts of eastern Wyoming into the Nebraska
Panhandle and extreme northeastern Colorado
Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 396...397...
Valid 270426Z - 270600Z
The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 396, 397
continues.
SUMMARY...Local risk for large hail and damaging wind gusts will
continue with a couple of isolated storms over the next couple of
hours.
DISCUSSION...Latest radar shows a pair of isolated/supercell storms
-- one moving east-southeastward across Niobrara County Wyoming, and
the other crossing Cheyenne County Nebraska. The storms have
exhibited gradual/subtle weakening over time, consistent with
expectations and with CAM guidance -- and this trend should
generally continue over the next couple of hours.
Still, the storms remain fairly well-organized, and remain capable
of producing large hail, and potentially a severe-caliber wind gust
or two.
