SUMMARY...Marginally severe hail and locally damaging gusts are
possible on an isolated basis during the next couple of hours.
DISCUSSION...Isolated thunderstorms are spreading eastward in parts
of northwestern Wisconsin this evening, in the vicinity of the left
exit region of a midlevel jet streak. Given a moist/unstable
boundary layer and around 30 kt of effective shear (characterized by
a long/mostly straight hodograph), a few transient/semi-discrete
supercell structures are possible. Marginally severe hail and
locally damaging gusts could accompany the stronger/longer-lived
cores during the next couple of hours before the boundary layer
begins to stabilize.
