The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 512
continues.
SUMMARY...Severe threat will increase across southern and eastern
portions of ww512 over the next few hours. Locally damaging winds
remain the primary risk.
DISCUSSION...LLJ (40-50kt) appears to be strengthening across
northern WI late this evening along the southern fringe of stronger
westerlies. Thunderstorm cluster has slowly matured over the last
few hours and a larger MCS has now evolved and is surging southeast
toward the AUW-AIG region. This activity will likely propagate
beyond the eastern boundary of ww512 and a local extension may be
warranted soon to account for this evolution.
