Areas affected...much of central and western Utah into far southwest
Wyoming

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 541...

Valid 211956Z - 212130Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 541
continues.

SUMMARY...The risk for damaging wind gusts and isolated hail will
continue through this afternoon.

DISCUSSION...As of 1945 UTC, regional radar and satellite imagery
showed scattered strong to severe thunderstorms ongoing across
WW541. A few storms have shown mid-level mesocyclones which may
enhance the potential for damaging wind gusts and isolated severe
hail. Additional development continues across western UT as the main
upper low continue to overspread the destabilizing airmass this
afternoon. Additional organization into supercells or clusters is
possible with effective shear of 40-50 kt and the sufficient
buoyancy. The greatest severe risk likely remains focused across
mostly northern portions of UT where the greatest coverage of storms
is expected later this afternoon/evening. However, the risk for
severe wind gusts (some significant) and isolated severe hail will
remain possible with strong convection across all of WW541.
