The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 548 continues.
SUMMARY...The severe risk across northeastern North Carolina into
Southeastern Virginia is expected this evening and overnight. A
replacement Tornado Watch is not anticipated.
DISCUSSION...Conditions are becoming less favorable for an organized
severe threat to continue into the evening and overnight. Buoyancy
has decreased with drier being pulled in from the southwest across
northeastern North Carolina. Meanwhile, the northern extent of
surface based destabilization has been very slow across far
southeast Virginia. Expect these trends to continue further
northward in the next few hours with buoyancy becoming largely
offshore and displaced from shear further inland.
