The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 551
continues.
SUMMARY...Gusty winds, along with some hail threat, will accompany
convection as it spreads southeast across ww551.
DISCUSSION...Convection that initiated along the front over
northwestern OK early this evening has evolved into several clusters
that are propagating southeast across ww551. Outflow is racing well
ahead of the convection across McClain-Garvin-southern Grady County
but more focused with the leading edge of convection near the front
over Pottawatomie County. Measured severe wind gusts have been
observed along the leading edge of this line. Modest southerly 850mb
flow continues across north TX into southern OK and this should aid
southeast propagation across southern portions of the watch over the
next few hours.
