The severe weather threat for Tornado Watch 134 continues.
SUMMARY...New Tornado Watch does not appear warranted, however some
risk for gusty winds or perhaps a brief tornado remains possible.
DISCUSSION...Surface warm front is advancing gradually north this
evening. This boundary has progressed through all but the northern
most portions of ww134. As this boundary shifts north, primary
corridor of low-level warm advection will focus across the TN Valley
into the southern Appalachians where surface buoyancy is expected to
remain negligible due to poor low-level moisture. Over the last few
hours, radar reflects this northward shift with the majority of
organized deep convection advancing north with the warm front.
Several longer lived rotating updrafts persist near the boundary and
gusty winds remain possible with this activity. Additionally, a
brief tornado can not be ruled out with these warm frontal
supercells but overall trends suggest a new tornado watch is not
warranted north of ww134.
