Areas affected...portions of far southern Arkansas into western
Louisiana and far eastern Texas

Concerning...Severe Thunderstorm Watch 140...141...

Valid 160030Z - 160130Z

The severe weather threat for Severe Thunderstorm Watch 140, 141
continues.

SUMMARY...The severe threat continues across Severe Thunderstorm
Watches 0140-0141, with large hail remaining as the primary threat.
A tornado remains possible, especially with an ongoing supercell
east of Shreveport.

DISCUSSION...Multiple multicell/supercell structures continue to
progress eastward across Severe Thunderstorm Watches 0140-0141 ahead
of the cold front. Several reports of severe hail (including stones
approaching 3 inches in diameter) have been received in the past
couple of hours, and MRMS mosaic MESH data suggests that large hail
(perhaps 2+ inch in spots) may be ongoing with some of the stronger
storms. Given ample buoyancy in place, large hail should continue
for at least a few more hours. A supercell in the Bienville Parish,
LA area has benefited from favorable interactions with residual
surface boundaries and cellular interactions, which have supported
the development of at least one tornado, and an additional tornado
remains possible over the next hour or so.
