...NO SEVERE THUNDERSTORM AREAS FORECAST...

...SUMMARY...
Organized severe thunderstorms are not forecast across the
contiguous United States on Tuesday.

...Synopsis...
A mid-level trough over the Great Lakes is forecast to evolve into a
closed low. A mid-level ridge over MT and the western Dakotas will
shift east as an upstream trough moves into the Pacific Northwest.
A low-amplitude westerly mid-level flow regime will extend across
the southern tier of states north of a flattened mid-level
anticyclone. In the low levels, a surface low will migrate slowly
northeast from the Great Lakes into southeastern Canada. A trailing
cold front will push southeast across the Lower Great Lakes and the
southwestern portion of the boundary will become draped west to east
across the southern Great Plains. Showers and isolated to scattered
thunderstorms are forecast near the boundary and in the vicinity of
a lee trough in the Mid-Atlantic states. The dislocation of
appreciable buoyancy and moderately strong shear will seemingly
preclude vigorous storm development across the CONUS on Tuesday.
