The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Northeast Iowa
  Extreme northwest Illinois
  Southeast Minnesota
  Southwest Wisconsin

* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 635 PM
  until 100 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
    inches in diameter likely
  Isolated damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible

SUMMARY...Elevated supercells will spread northeastward from Iowa to
southeast Minnesota and southwest Wisconsin through the early
overnight hours.  Very large hail to tennis ball size (2.5 inches in
diameter) will be the main threat, though isolated damaging gusts
will be possible from northeast Iowa into southwest Wisconsin.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles north and south of a line from 50 miles south
southwest of Rochester MN to 15 miles east northeast of Madison WI.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
