URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 144 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 845 PM CDT Sat Apr 15 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern Illinois Southwest Indiana Western Kentucky * Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 845 PM until 100 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...A line of severe thunderstorms with a history of damaging winds will move across the watch area the remainder of this evening. Damaging winds will remain the primary severe hazard, along with isolated instances of large hail. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles northwest of Evansville IN to 40 miles south southeast of Paducah KY.
