URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 149 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1100 PM CDT Wed Apr 19 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and Eastern Iowa Northeast Kansas Northwest Missouri * Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1100 PM until 600 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Clusters of strong/severe storms will persist eastward across central/eastern Iowa as well as northwest Missouri, while additional storms develop late this evening into the overnight across northeast Kansas. Severe hail and damaging winds are the primary hazards.
