URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 150 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1150 PM CDT Wed Apr 19 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southwest Iowa Central and Eastern Kansas South-Central and Southeast Nebraska * Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1150 PM until 700 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter likely Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible A tornado or two possible SUMMARY...Storms will continue to increase overnight across south-central/southeast Kansas, while additional storms are expected to develop, organize, and spread east-northeastward across northern Kansas and southern Nebraska near and north of a southeastward-moving front. Large hail and locally damaging winds are the primary hazards. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 125 statute miles north and south of a line from 35 miles north of Russell KS to 60 miles east northeast of Manhattan KS.
