The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Central and North Texas
* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 940 PM
until 400 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2.5
inches in diameter possible
A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Scattered severe storms will continue to occur with large
hail expected with the most intense storms. Additionally, damaging
wind potential may increase this evening toward the I-35 corridor of
central/north Texas.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles east and west of a line from 30 miles west northwest
of Paris TX to 70 miles west southwest of Corsicana TX. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
