The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Southwest Louisiana
Southeast Texas
Coastal Waters
* Effective this Saturday night and Sunday morning from 810 PM
until 100 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
to 2 inches in diameter possible
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
SUMMARY...Several clusters and lines of intense thunderstorms will
track southeastward across the watch this evening, posing a risk of
damaging wind gusts and large hail.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60
statute miles north and south of a line from 60 miles west northwest
of Houston TX to 10 miles northeast of Port Arthur TX. For a
