400 PM CDT Wed Jun 14 2023
The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
North central and northeast Texas
* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and evening from 400 PM
until 1000 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 4
inches in diameter likely

A tornado or two possible
SUMMARY...Thunderstorm development is possible along a stalled
boundary through the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, and storms will
spread eastward through late evening. The storm environment is very
favorable for splitting supercells capable of producing giant hail
(up to 4 inches in diameter) and damaging winds. The extreme
instability along the boundary could also support an isolated
tornado or two.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 45 miles southwest of
Fort Worth TX to 55 miles northeast of Longview TX. For a complete
depiction of the watch see the associated watch outline update
(WOUS64 KWNS WOU5).
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
