URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 348 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 335 AM CDT Wed Jun 21 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central to south-central Kansas * Effective this Wednesday morning from 335 AM until 1100 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Gradual organization and increase in thunderstorms noted over the region should yield a complex of thunderstorms in the next few hours, offering occasional large hail and a threat for severe gusts as it propagates southward to southeastward in the watch area. Isolated large hail or strong gusts also may occur with activity farther north just past I-70. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles either side of a line from 25 miles northwest of Russell KS to 25 miles southwest of Medicine Lodge KS.
