The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of
Western north Texas
* Effective this Friday night and Saturday morning from 950 PM
until 300 AM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely
Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
inches in diameter possible
SUMMARY...Clusters of storms and additional outflow mergers should
lead to some upscale growth with the potential for severe outflow
gusts of 60-70 mph and large hail of 1-2 inches in diameter.
The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 50
statute miles north and south of a line from 125 miles west
northwest of Mineral Wells TX to 40 miles east northeast of Mineral

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.

warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
