The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Western and North-Central Kansas
  Oklahoma Panhandle
  Texas Panhandle

* Effective this Monday night and Tuesday morning from 810 PM
  until 200 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...Clusters of storms are expected to further organize and
gradually increase in forward speed as they progress generally
southeastward across western into north-central/central Kansas this
evening. Other storms may intensify across the Texas/Oklahoma
Panhandles, but perhaps on a more isolated basis. Large hail and
damaging winds are possible into the overnight.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55
statute miles east and west of a line from 60 miles northeast of
Hill City KS to 5 miles south of Borger TX. For a complete depiction

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
