The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Iowa
  Northern Missouri

* Effective this Wednesday morning from 515 AM until 1100 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Widespread damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
    to 85 mph possible
  Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...A fast moving and intense bow echo over eastern Nebraska
will surge across the watch area this morning, posing a risk of
widespread damaging wind gusts, including a few significant severe
gusts over 75 mph.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 80
statute miles north and south of a line from 25 miles south of
Denison IA to 35 miles south southeast of Cedar Rapids IA. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
