The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Southwest Minnesota

* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 925 PM
  until 400 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
    to 75 mph possible
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 2
    inches in diameter possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...A cluster of storms, with embedded supercells initially,
is expected to grow upscale while spreading southeastward across
western and southern Minnesota.  Large hail will be possible
initially, and the threat for damaging winds up to 75 mph will
increase overnight.  An isolated tornado or two may also occur with
embedded circulations.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 40
statute miles north and south of a line from 65 miles northwest of
Redwood Falls MN to 55 miles east of Redwood Falls MN. For a

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.
