URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 572 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 345 PM CDT Sat Jul 29 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Southern Illinois Southwest Indiana Western Kentucky Extreme southeast Missouri * Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 345 PM until 900 PM CDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible SUMMARY...A long-lived convective cluster with a history of damaging winds is expected to persist for a few more hours while moving across parts of southern Illinois, southwest Indiana and western Kentucky. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles north and south of a line from 10 miles west southwest of Scott Afb IL to 25 miles northeast of Evansville IN.
