URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 611 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 810 PM EDT Mon Aug 7 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Northeastern North Carolina Coastal Waters * Effective this Monday evening from 810 PM until 1100 PM EDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...The northern part of an organized, bow-echo-producing MCS may pose a continuing threat for damaging to severe gusts, as it proceeds from north-central to northeastern NC in the next 2-3 hours. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 20 statute miles north and south of a line from 55 miles west of Elizabeth City NC to 30 miles east of Elizabeth City NC.
