The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of 
  Northeast Colorado
  Northwest Kansas
  Western Nebraska
  Southeast Wyoming

* Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 235 PM until
  1000 PM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  Scattered large hail likely with isolated very large hail events
    to 3.5 inches in diameter possible
  Scattered damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 75
    mph possible
  A tornado or two possible

SUMMARY...Widely scattered severe storms will develop through late
afternoon/early evening across the region, including supercells
capable of very large hail and some tornado risk, especially with
the storms across far northeast Colorado/far northwest Kansas/far
southwest Nebraska. Storms will gradually cluster by early evening
with an increased potential for damaging winds, some of them capable
of significantly strong and destructive winds.

The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 135
statute miles north and south of a line from 70 miles south
southwest of Torrington WY to 45 miles northeast of Imperial NE. For

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Severe Thunderstorm Watch means conditions are
favorable for severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch area.
Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for threatening
weather conditions and listen for later statements and possible
warnings. Severe thunderstorms can and occasionally do produce
tornadoes.

3.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind gusts to 65 knots. A
