URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 632 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 140 AM CDT Sat Aug 12 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and southern Illinois Eastern Missouri * Effective this Saturday morning from 140 AM until 1000 AM CDT. * Primary threats include... Isolated very large hail events to 2 inches in diameter possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Clusters of organized thunderstorms should move eastward to southeastward out of northern MO, posing a continued threat for large hail and damaging to severe gusts after exiting watch 631. Conditional potential exists for upscale growth of a better-organized, wind-producing complex. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles either side of a line from 55 miles north northwest of Saint Louis MO to 60 miles south southeast of Mattoon IL.
