URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Severe Thunderstorm Watch Number 664 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1230 PM PDT Sun Sep 3 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Severe Thunderstorm Watch for portions of Central and Eastern Nevada Western and Northern Utah * Effective this Sunday afternoon and evening from 1230 PM until 800 PM PDT. * Primary threats include... Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Strong to severe thunderstorms will continue to increase across the region, supported by a very moist air mass and strong winds aloft ahead of an approaching upper-level system. The severe thunderstorm watch area is approximately along and 120 statute miles east and west of a line from 85 miles north of Wendover UT to 80 miles east southeast of Tonopah NV.
