The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  The Big Country of Texas

* Effective this Wednesday night and Thursday morning from 1025
  PM until 200 AM CDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A couple tornadoes possible
  Widespread damaging winds and isolated significant gusts to 90
    mph likely
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
    inches in diameter likely

SUMMARY...An intense supercell cluster may persist for another
couple of hours while moving south-southeastward with the potential
to produce tornadoes, very large hail to 3 inches in diameter and
intense gusts up to 90 mph.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles
east and west of a line from 60 miles northwest of Abilene TX to 40
miles south of Abilene TX. For a complete depiction of the watch see

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
