The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  East-central and Southeast Colorado
  Western Kansas

* Effective this Thursday night and Friday morning from 720 PM
  until 100 AM MDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A couple tornadoes possible
  Scattered large hail and isolated very large hail events to 3
    inches in diameter possible
  Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible

SUMMARY...Storms are expected to develop and quickly intensify this
evening across east-central/southeast Colorado into western Kansas.
Supercells capable of locally very large hail can be expected, along
with a tornado risk. Storms may eventually cluster with some
increasing wind potential into western/southwest Kansas later this
evening into the overnight.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 90 statute miles
east and west of a line from 25 miles northwest of Burlington CO to
40 miles south of Lamar CO. For a complete depiction of the watch

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
