The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  East central Florida
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning from
  425 PM until 100 AM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes possible

SUMMARY...A few outer band supercells and tornadoes will remain
possible across east central Florida through this evening and into
tonight, in advance of the weakening core of Hurricane Ian moving
toward central Florida.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 35 statute miles
east and west of a line from 5 miles northeast of Daytona Beach FL
to 40 miles south southeast of Vero Beach FL. For a complete

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.

OTHER WATCH INFORMATION...This tornado watch replaces tornado
watch number 546. Watch number 546 will not be in effect after
425 PM EDT. 

AVIATION...Tornadoes and a few severe thunderstorms with hail
surface and aloft to 0.5 inches. Extreme turbulence and surface wind
gusts to 50 knots. A few cumulonimbi with maximum tops to 500. Mean
storm motion vector 17040.
