URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 573 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 440 PM CST Tue Nov 29 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of West central Alabama * Effective this Tuesday afternoon and evening from 440 PM until 1100 PM CST. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph likely Scattered large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Supercells and storm clusters will spread eastward from Mississippi into western Alabama through the evening. The storm environment will become more favorable for a few tornadoes, including a couple of strong tornadoes, as well as damaging winds and isolated large hail. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 40 statute miles east and west of a line from 65 miles north of Tuscaloosa AL to 40 miles west of Selma AL.
