URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 592 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 545 PM EDT Sat Aug 5 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Far East-Central Illinois Central and Southern Indiana * Effective this Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning from 545 PM until 100 AM EDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Thunderstorms are expected to develop ahead of a surface low moving eastward across the Ohio Valley. Low-level shear appears strong enough to support a few thunderstorms capable of damaging gusts and/or tornadoes as these storms move eastward this afternoon and evening. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 35 miles west northwest of Muncie IN to 50 miles southwest of Bloomington IN.
