URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 598 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 935 PM EDT Sun Aug 6 2023 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Southern Indiana North-central Kentucky * Effective this Sunday night and Monday morning from 935 PM until 500 AM EDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 65 mph possible Isolated large hail events to 1.5 inches in diameter possible SUMMARY...Severe thunderstorms initially over southern IL will spread into the watch area over the next few hours, maintaining a threat of a couple tornadoes, along with damaging gusts and isolated large hail. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 50 statute miles either side of a line from 50 miles south southwest of Terre Haute IN to 30 miles east northeast of Louisville KY.
