The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a

* Tornado Watch for portions of 
  Western Florida
  Coastal Waters

* Effective this Tuesday night and Wednesday morning from 830 PM
  until 600 AM EDT.

* Primary threats include...
  A few tornadoes likely
  Isolated significant damaging wind gusts to 75 mph possible

SUMMARY...Bands of thunderstorms associated with Hurricane Idalia
will move inland this evening and overnight.  Strengthening winds
aloft will increase the risk of tornadoes in a few of these storms.

The tornado watch area is approximately along and 45 statute miles
east and west of a line from 35 miles north of Cross City FL to 25
miles south southeast of Fort Myers FL. For a complete depiction of

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

REMEMBER...A Tornado Watch means conditions are favorable for
tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
area. Persons in these areas should be on the lookout for
threatening weather conditions and listen for later statements
and possible warnings.
