A few tornadoes likely Isolated damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...Hurricane Idalia will move northeastward today near the southeast Atlantic coast. The potential for tornadoes will increase through this afternoon across coastal South Carolina, and the tornado threat will also increase into southern coastal North Carolina later this afternoon into early tonight. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 30 statute miles either side of a line from 65 miles west southwest of Charleston SC to 15 miles east of Wilmington NC.
