The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a
* Tornado Watch for portions of
Southern Louisiana
Southeast Texas
Coastal Waters
* Effective this Wednesday morning and evening from 1110 AM until
700 PM CDT.
* Primary threats include...
A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible
Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts
to 75 mph possible
Isolated large hail events to 1 inch in diameter possible
SUMMARY...A line of thunderstorms over southeast Texas is expected
to intensify this afternoon and track eastward across southern
Louisiana. Damaging winds and isolated tornadoes are possible with
these storms.
The tornado watch area is approximately along and 65 statute miles
north and south of a line from 45 miles northwest of Port Arthur TX
to 25 miles northeast of Lafayette LA. For a complete depiction of

tornadoes and severe thunderstorms in and close to the watch
