URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 86 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 1245 PM EDT Thu Mar 31 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Southern North Carolina Northeast South Carolina Coastal Waters * Effective this Thursday afternoon and evening from 1245 PM until 800 PM EDT. * Primary threats include... A couple tornadoes possible Scattered damaging wind gusts to 70 mph possible SUMMARY...A line of intensifying thunderstorms over northern SC will track eastward this afternoon into a very highly sheared environment. There is potential for occasional damaging wind gusts and tornadoes along the line. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 60 statute miles east and west of a line from 50 miles west southwest of Myrtle Beach SC to 25 miles north northeast of Southern Pines NC.
